In a quiet corner of Algarve’s coast in Portugal, there is this beautiful little town called Carvoeiro. We stayed there for our summer holidays and I could undoubtedly say it is one of the most authentic and prettiest Portuguese towns I have ever visited. I must certainly warn, Portugal can be really breathtaking! Being a traditional, tiny fishing village in the past and surviving its days from tuna catching, Carvoeiro became a perfect European beach holiday destination and continues to be such in 2016. Situated just in the middle between Lagos and Faro cities, both having airports, it can be easily accessed by public or your own hired transport. For our holidays, we chose hiring our own private car and seeing the most of the Algarve. Little cabrio coupe did its magic trick and helped us have a dream holiday of every tomorrow.
The little town has only got two main roads, which both lead straight into the main square by the beach. Charming white houses on high cliffs, romantic narrow streets, private villas and hotels comfortably sitting at the end of massive cliffs form this very beautiful and picturesque landscape.
The very best parts are definitely the golden-looking cliffs, being formed of the massive erosion and pure sandy private, or even massive bays. For this every reason, I promise, your time will be photographed in your memory of such views for very long.
Bars and foodie lovers will also be happy with what this charming little find has got to offer. Standouts on every menu are the best monkfishes, seabreams and seabasses. Grilled to perfection tuna steak can can get your dinner even more tasty if you chose a restaurant looking out to the sea. Fishermen can still be spotted bringing meal straight to your plate! Your evening accompanied with a cold bottle of light and fruity vihno verde, regions little sparkling white wine will create an unforgettable affair with this gorgeous country.
If you like rooms with breathtaking views, you can definitely pick Tivoli hotel in Carvoeiro. It has a dream hotel settings, sitting just on a high cliff in Carvoeiro, with a view of the ocean and the sound of waves clashing into the rocks of a private beach just steps down below. The best sound of relaxing music, isn’t it?
Requesting an ocean view on the fifth or the sixth floor is definitely worth it and a refined holiday atmosphere for two is all yours. Here is an early morning view from our hotel balcony. Not bad heh?

There is still so much to like about Portugal that it’s simply unfair to put everything in words. It’s a perfect and variant summer holiday destination, so why not slipping away there with your loved one this year?
